Covid 19 Summary Update
Lateral Flow for Adults | School staff are encouraged to test 2 x per week, but there is no requirement to send in a result UNLESS a positive COVID test. |
COVID symptoms for adults | School staff and visitors are encouraged to wear a face mask and take increased precautions if they have COVID symptoms, but the LFT is showing negative. This should continue until they are well. |
COVID positive adults | Should isolate for 5 days. If they are well enough to return to work, but still testing positive, they are encouraged to wear a face mask and take extra precautions. |
COVID positive pupils | Should isolate for 3 days and advised to keep children who are unwell with a high temperature at home until they get better. |
Pupils unwell and not taking LFT's | Should remain offsite for 3 days or until well. |
Close contacts | If had contact with a COVID case can still attend site, but try and reduce contact with others and advised to wear a face mask (if adults). |
Absence coding | Where a pupil is not attending because they have symptoms of COVID, or have had a positive test, this will be recorded as Code I (illness) unless another more appropriate absence code applies. Schools can continue to use the sub-code (I02) to record illness due to suspected COVID, although they are not required to. |
