Southfield School Virtual Marathon
As we were unable to celebrate National Autism Week due to the COVID crisis, Southfield School council have decided to run a virtual running fundraiser to raise funds for the National Autistic Society.
Lots of charities have suffered due to the crisis as their usual fundraising efforts have been cancelled. Therefore as a community we are hoping to run a Southfield marathon to support them. To take part we need everyone to either walk, run, cycle or scoot as little or as far as they can, make a note of how far you’ve gone and (if you can) donate to the NAS. School Council will then add together everyone’s efforts and send this off to the NAS for our virtual medal.
Donations can be made in three ways:
1. On School Gateway - 'Virtual Marathon for the National Autistic Society'.
2. Through the event on our Virgin Money Giving page which can be found by using the following link -
3. If you are unable to use either of the above online methods, then you can send cash or a cheque payable to Southfield School with your child if they are currently attending school.
All donations received will be added together, and sent to the National Autistic Society.
The Marathon Challenge will take place in the week of 22nd - 26th June. Please send us any photos or videos of you completing your run, walk, cycle or scoot so we can put these on the school website to celebrate what we are doing as a community. These can be sent to your child's class email.
