Southfield school is simply amazing. Having a child with additional needs isn’t easy, but this school has been an incredibly positive part of our son’s and by extension, our lives. He is thriving, learning, and most importantly he is so happy. The staff are knowledgeable, kind, brilliant at communicating with you and working with you. It was our biggest wish that school could be our son’s happy place, where he could have the best outcome for his primary school career. That wish has come true. Thank you.

We’re so grateful for the amazing experience our son has had at Southfield school since starting in September 2024. After two years at a mainstream school, we were unsure how the transition would go, but it’s been the best decision we’ve made for him. From the very first day, he’s been excited to go to school and can’t wait to see his teachers and teaching assistants, which really shows how happy he is there. We also really appreciate how involved the headteacher is with the children. It’s clear that the leadership team is dedicated to the kids’ well-being and progress, which means a lot to us.

We get regular updates on how our son is doing, and we can really see the progress he’s making, especially when we help him with his home learning. He’s definitely become more confident, and it’s been amazing to see how much he’s developing. We’ve also been really impressed with the activities the school arranges, like the gymnastics field trip—he had so much fun when looking at photos! The therapists for OT and speech and language have been brilliant too, really helping him make great progress. The school truly goes the extra mile for the kids, and we’re so thankful for all the support they give our son.
