IT Support for Families
At Southfield School we follow a bespoke curriculum where the children are taught about online safety each half term, this includes understanding learning not just how to keep ourselves safe but also the advantages that using different devices have. We use Purple Mash as our online learning platform which enables us to oversee what learning is happening, allow cross-curricular use in other lessons and enable access to home learning. Each academic year, in February the children take part in a Safer Internet Day assembly as well as taking part in different activities around that year's theme.

S is for safe (don't share personal details),
M is for meet (don't meet up with strangers),
A is for accepting( be aware of the source),
R is for reliable (not all information online is reliable) , and
T is for tell (tell a trusted adult)
