As we grow, we remain firmly committed to maintaining the high standards of education, care and support that our pupils, families and community have come to expect. To achieve this, we are proactively recruiting talented and passionate individuals who share our vision of helping every child thrive.

Our expansion is about more than increasing capacity. It is about ensuring that every pupil continues to benefit from the personalised, high-quality support that makes Southfield such a special place to learn and work. As a result, we currently have several exciting opportunities available for the right people to join us and thrive at Southfield.

Join Us at Our Recruitment Open Morning

If you're considering a career at Southfield School, we'd love you to visit us and see first-hand what makes our school so special. We are hosting a recruitment open morning on Thursday 19th November 2026 at 9.30am at Southfield SEN School, Woods Avenue, Hatfield. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet members of our team, learn more about our provision, and discover how they could play a role in helping our pupils achieve their full potential.

The open morning will provide information on a range of current and future opportunities as we continue to expand, including teaching, support staff, leadership, and specialist roles. Here are a few of our current opportunities:

SEND Teachers

Our SEND Teachers lead inspiring and engaging learning experiences that meet the diverse needs of our pupils. Through specialist teaching, careful planning and strong relationships with families and colleagues, they help children make meaningful progress academically, socially and emotionally while fostering a love of learning and achievement.

Forest School Leader

Our brand-new Forest School represents a significant investment in enriching learning experiences for our pupils. The Forest School Leader will play a vital role in establishing and developing this exciting provision, creating opportunities for outdoor learning, developing independence, building confidence and supporting pupils' wellbeing through nature-based experiences.

Teaching Assistants

Teaching Assistants are at the heart of daily life at Southfield. Working closely with pupils and teachers, they provide essential support that helps children access learning, develop communication and social skills, and achieve their individual targets. Their contribution ensures every pupil receives the encouragement and guidance they need to succeed.

Be Part of Our Next Chapter...

This is an exciting time to join Southfield School. Our growth reflects the increasing need for high-quality specialist education, and we are determined to ensure that every new pupil receives the same exceptional experience that has made our school so highly regarded. By investing in outstanding staff now, we are protecting the quality of education and support that our pupils deserve for years to come.
