Jays class went pond dipping
As part of their science lessons Jays class went pond dipping! They found all sorts of interesting water minibeasts, water scorpions, pond snails, backswimmers, water beetles, phantom midge larva, and even a newt. All the children were thoroughly engrossed listening carefully to Alison, the RSPB facilitator. She was very impressed with the children’s knowledge and observational skills. Not only did they take part in pond dipping they looked at the surrounding wild plants.
