• Woodpeckers golf trip

  Woodpeckers class have been off site and learning to play golf. This has hugely helped the children with their fine and gross motor skills and they have learned a new sport.

• FOSS Easter movie night and Easter egg hunt

  On Wednesday after school, FOSS held a movie night and Easter Egg hunt. 30 children joined us for fun, snacks, games and a movie. The children all left happy and with an Easter egg from the hunt. 

• Derek Paravicini

  Derek Paravicini was born blind, autistic and with severe learning difficulties, yet he is a world-class pianist and musical genius. The children had the pleasure of meeting Derek, they enjoyed singing and dancing along to the music and made requests for Derek to play their favourite songs. Everyone had a fantastic day.

• Science Week

  All the children participated in Science Week, the focus was on time.  The pupils enjoyed when Professor Dan came in and he carried out a range of experiments with the children.  Throughout the week, children participated in a variety of Science activities which included different experiments such as making sand timers, exploring shadows and investigating bubbles.

  

• AGMS Foundation donation

  Agam Gosai Manav Seva foundation is a charity whose ethos is "Actively Serving Humanity" at a local, national and international level. It is a non-profit and non-government organisation.

  Southfield School were lucky enough to receive donations of Drawing materials that have been distributed throughout the school.  

  

• Gymnastics trip

  Goldfinches class visited a gymnastics centre. They had a circle time and practiced some rolling and jumping before having time to explore the equipment while adults focused on specific skills such as rolling and balancing.

• Junk Orchestra visit

  Last week, we were very luck to have a visit from Junk Orchestra who's instruments are upcycled and designed and tuned to be melodic and instantly playable. The children all had a great time and were still talking about it at the end of the week.
